Whatever. What can Akira do to Supes. Best shot I’ve seen was blowing up the city but that wouldn’t hurt Clark. Mind rape wouldn’t work, Superman resist telepathy very well (even let someone to go in his head and than Calrk f*** him there. And Supes did it just to show how strong mind he has).

By now we all know that it can’t buy you love and it don’t grow on trees, but what is this magic stuff all about? If you need someone to spell it out for you, loan them something. Have them write you a slip of paper. But first, make sure that you are both powerful wizards. The company you work for, it’s clients, where do their transactions begin? If you follow the yellow brick road, you get to see the landscape a bit, and then you come to a big green palace full of insane people. It’s called a Central Bank. Are the people who decide what life is worth hiding all day behind a curtain in the back of a room full of frightening noises? And do they really just make it so by saying it’s so? Is the power they have to solve their clients problems of lack, really just a consensual agreement with their clientele, plus special effects? If that’s the case, a banker is much a movie producer, one with an unlimited budget and little imagination.

Scientists have shown how monkeys will exploit each other through the curtain of an economic system. Theft, Prostitution, Upper Management entail. Are the Monkeys inherently THIS evil? Does the system bring it out of them or put it into them? Inverting the emperor’s clothes scenario, Capitalism’s champions claim the curtain is transparent, the epitome of fair play. Yet how iridescently translucently refracting it is, attracting, distracting, diverting and directing us into our deepest criminality. Capitalism itself does seem to amplify certain dimensions of behavior, and suppress others, and not in the nicest way. But is there anything to do about it?

Can we somehow adapt the social technology currently used by Anti-Modern, indigenous people to thwart this cultural trajectory? These societies aren’t the same undeveloped potential that our ancestors were. These people aren’t just the ones who are ‘behind the times.’ They apparently have developed successful anti-modern social structures which have continued to work and develop over the millennia. Anti-State, Anti-War-Machine, Anti-Shopping-Mall strategies they rigorously apply. Contrary to the popular myth, they might be good examples of what our ancestors were NEVER like. So the question becomes not: What did we do differently that worked? But: What are they seeing that we miss? What horrible beast do they flee from, which we are now under the talons of, waiting to be devoured?

Perhaps as a therapy for our ailment we could use some kind of new money that isn’t flatly a numeric value. Remembering that the success of capitalism is its ability to group-source information about scarcity and desire: In what ways can our new computer-network technology improve on this success, or even re-invent The Coin? Assuming part of Capitalism’s failure is fated by it’s reduction of human desire to a one-dimensional value scale, perhaps our current age will give birth to new economic forms of information flexible enough to convey the multi-dimensional desire vectors present in human societies. It’s called The Click of the Ruby Red Slippers. It’s called Dissolve Transition, The Previous Adventure Was Just A Dream Anyway.
